Waniewo - a village (formerly a town) in Poland located in Podlaskie Voivodeship, in Wysokie Mazowieckie poviat, in the Sokoły commune. Waniewo was granted a town charter in 1510 and was degraded before 1676 [1]. The town of the Goniądz and Rajgrodzki estates of Nicholas II Radziwiłł [2], in 1795 it was located in Bielsko-Biała Podlaskie Province [3]. In the years 1975–1998 the town was administratively part of the Łomża Province.
