Blacktip shark [10] (Carcharhinus limbatus) - a species of large predatory cartilaginous fish from the carcharhinidae family. It occurs in tropical waters of all oceans. Most often found near muddy bays, lagoons, coral reefs, estuaries and mangrove lagoons. It lives in waters usually not exceeding 30 meters deep, along the upper edges of continental shelves, although it can descend to greater depths. It has a spindle-shaped body and an elongated, narrow head with a pointed mouth with a relatively large mouth. A characteristic feature of this species are teeth with relatively narrow shafts and darker fin tips (except for the anal fin). It reaches a maximum of 2.6 m and weighs almost 123 kg, although usually adults are about 1.5 m in length.
