The construction of the garden began in 1980 according to the design of prof. dr hab. Eng. Edward Bartmann from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in 1977. The project envisaged the maximum use of natural habitat conditions in the creation of plant communities [1]. The garden covers an area of 60 ha, with the possibility of enlarging it to 80 ha, which puts the garden in Bydgoszcz in the second position in Poland in terms of area [2]. Among the many hills with different slopes and heights (68-94 m above sea level) separated by ravines, walking paths have been incorporated. There are 13 cascade ponds along the Myślcińska Struga line, with a height difference of 20.5 m, a total length of 1 km and an area of 2.2 ha.
