The seven affairs of the Doña Juanita is a four -part feature film produced by DEB by Frank Beyer from 1973, commissioned by television of the GDR, based on the eponymous novel by Eberhard Panitz.

The 31-year-old Anita N., architect, called Doña Juanita, has an 8-year-old daughter Eva and is head of department in a design office for a major construction site. There are many opinions, suspicions, strange rumors and gossip about them. Therefore, she wants to leave her job in Dobbertin and announces exactly on the day on which a clubhouse designed by her is to be handed over. It is said that she had many men, many affairs, and that she was responsible for the death of a certain Sawallian. A young man, security inspector of the construction site wants to hold her back. Together with four other colleagues he wants to get a true picture of her and to find an answer to the question, when do we have the right and the duty to care about what happens behind the door of our neighbor and how can we the happiness of the individual with the happiness of all intertwined. He will tell us her story in this movie.
