The first season of the television series La casa di carta was broadcast by Antena 3 from 2 May to 23 November 2017. In Italian the series was published on 20 December 2017 (first part) and on 6 April 2018 ( second part) by Netflix The original episodes are a total of 15 with a duration of 70-75 minutes, while Netflix has reduced the duration to 40-50 minutes, thus publishing a total of 22 episodes (13 in the first part and 9 in the second ).

Episode 1

Plot

A mysterious man calling himself Professor brings together a group of criminals in order to make a coup at the Spanish State Mint. Each member of the band is given the name of a city : Tokyo, storyteller of the story, whose companion has just died after a gunfight for a theft ; Moscow and Denver, father and son; Berlin, elected by the Professor at the head of operations; Nairobi, the other woman in the group; Rio, a young hacker ; Helsinki and Oslo, Serbian twins. All components have a criminal record, except the Professor, who has disappeared from any database for many years. The Professor requires the group not to investigate or expose their personal lives and real identities, nor to establish sentimental relationships. The blow must be clean: the goal is exclusively the theft, so the Professor requires not to kill or injure any hostage. The protagonists are hiding for five months in an estate in the countryside of Toledo to prepare adequately, doing all the necessary simulations. The rules imposed by the Professor are not respected by Rio and Tokyo, who start a relationship ( Tokyo is 12 years older than Rio). The day of the robbery arrives: the Professor acts remotely, giving instructions to his parents who are inside the mint.
