The first day is the title of a television movie from 2008. The film is a commissioned production of ORF and ARTE and was produced by MR Film. It is about a super -GAU in the Czech nuclear power plant Dukovany.

When suddenly the wind turns and thus the clouds contaminated with radioactive particles are blown to Austria, after the first precipitation also several Lower Austrian measuring stations report increased radioactivity. Since the measurements detect extremely high levels of radioactivity both at the measuring stations and at the checkpoints, the version of a "minor" incident is quickly doubted.
