Łódź Sports Club - a Polish multi-sectional sports club based in Łódź, founded in 1908, registered the following year. The oldest existing club in Lodz and at the same time one of the oldest Polish sports clubs. ŁKS is a 22- time Polish champion in team sports. Individually, the teammates won medals six times at the Olympic Games and several times in various disciplines at the European and world championships.

Establishment of the club
The Łódź Sports Club is a multi-sectional club, founded in 1908 and officially registered the following year. Its founders were: Henryk Lubawski, Arnold Heiman and Jerzy Hirszberg.
The first section in the club was football, followed by athletics and tennis. At the end of the 1920s, ice hockey began to be practiced in ŁKS, and a sports games section was established, which included basketball, volleyball and hazen. Soon more were created : boxing, cycling, swimming, etc.
