Fairy tale. The figure of Krecik was created in 1957. The then-recognized creator, animated film director and animator Zdeněk Miler received an order for an educational film that would show the fabric production. The finished film, showing the process of making a linen shirt, was saturated with numerous descriptions of the operation of the machines. The concept of the film did not appeal to Miler. The first film about how Krecik got new shorts was made in 1956. The author initially did not intend to create the series. However, the great success of the film about Krecik meant that Miler decided to return to his character. In 1962 another film about Krecik was created: Krecik and autko; it was the beginning of the series, the episodes of which are still being created today.
