The first records of the church located in this place come from 1326 [3]. The present church was erected on the framework of the original temple, for a long time it was believed that it happened at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries, but the latest research on wood taken from the truss from the temple shows that it comes from the years 1464–1466 [4]. The church in Ćwiklicka is next to the church in Łaziska, probably the oldest wooden church in Silesia with a carcass construction.
