Vincent Willem van Gogh, pron. [ˈVɪnsɛnt vaŋˈɣɔx] (born March 30, 1853, died July 29, 1890) - Dutch post-impressionist painter, whose work, thanks to its vivid colors and emotional influence, had a far-reaching influence on the art of the 20th century. The artist suffered from anxiety attacks and increasing attacks caused by mental disorders. He died at the age of 37 as an artist unknown to the wider public, as a result of a shot with a firearm - probably suicide.
