Halit Ergenç - born 30 April 1970 in Istanbul, Turkish film and theater actor. He was born in Istanbul to a family of Albanian descent as the son of actor Saito Ergença (1931-2008). In 1989 he began studies in marine engineering at the Technical University of Istanbul. After a year, he dropped out of college and moved to the Mimar Sinan art university, where he studied in the field of opera singing. During this time, he performed in the backing vocals of well-known Turkish singers: Leman Sam and Ajdy Pekkan.
