Ostritz is located in the south-eastern part of Saxony on the left bank of the Neisse Lusatian, directly on the border with Poland. Ostritz directly borders the Polish villages of Krzewina, Bratków and Posada in the district of Zgorzelec, in the commune of Bogatynia.
