Gubin (German: Guben, Dolnołuż. Gubin) - a city, which is also a municipal commune and the seat of the rural commune of Gubin, located in the Lubuskie voivodship, in the Krosno poviat, on the right bank of the Nysa Łużycka and on the Lubsza. Gubin is situated in the Polish part of Lower Lusatia, on the border with Germany, and until 1945 was the eastern part of the city of Guben. In the years 1975–1998, it administratively belonged to the Zielona Góra Province.
