It is not as popular as Paris, nor as well known as Cannes, but it does as well when it comes to looks. I am talking about Colmar, a small town in the east of France, which impresses with its architecture. Once it was the main center of the textile industry, today mainly wine is produced here. It is worth seeing a well-preserved Market Square with monuments dating from the 13th century. The city has the Gare de Colmar railway station. Colmar was the setting for numerous French films and series La Grande Illusion, La Decade prodigieuse, Les Alsaciens ou les Deux Mathilde, and La confiance regne.
