Boldt Castle online puzzle
The never-finished Boldt Castle stands on the Heart Island on the St. Lawrence River in the area of a thousand islands. The ambitious project to build a large estate began in 1899. It was supposed to be a gift for George Boldt's wife, but the sudden death of a beloved woman caused the work to be suspended forever. The six-story Boldt Castle was modeled on 16th century European castles. The main building has massive, ornate granite walls, over 120 rooms, an elevator and an indoor swimming pool. Together with the four other buildings that surround it, built in a similar style, this enormous structure is one of a kind.
