Monkey face orchids (Dracula simia) online puzzle
Discovered in 1978 by Professor Luer, a botanist who was very astonished to discover these flowers in Ecuador, Dracula simia, also known as the monkey-faced orchid, is native to the southeast of the Central American country. This plant, which grows in the country's highland tropical forests, is one of at least 10,000 types of orchids found in the tropics. Its long-tailed, reddish-brown flowers have a pair of dotted “eyes” that look an awful lot like the face of a capuchin monkey, making it quite a sight on the planet.
