The film describes the adventures of a young deer Bambi, who befriends the rabbit Tuptuś and the skunk Kwiatek. Bambi is a prince, son of a deer - King of the Forest - Grand Duke. Bambi spends all his youth with friends, getting to know, among others young doe Felinka, his later wife. In winter, Bambi's mother is shot dead in the woods while hunting. Bambi stays under the care of his father.
