Pinocchio is a wooden clown who, however, can speak and move. He also feels hunger, disease and human weakness. Like a man, he has to make choices in life. If they are bad, they are punished and good ones are rewarded. The hallmark of Pinocchio is his nose, which lengthens when Pinocchio is lying. At the end of the book, Pinocchio becomes an ordinary child as a reward for good behavior.
