The plot of the series focuses on the title SpongeBob SquarePants, an energetic and positive-minded sea sponge that looks like a kitchen sponge. Most episodes of the series take place in the underwater city of Bikini Dolne, located in the Pacific under the coral reef of Bikini Atoll. As a means of transport, it uses vehicles that are a combination of a car and a boat.
