Hildesheim - a beautiful city considered the pearl of Lower Saxony. The market square in Hildesheim, called the "historical market square", is the heart of the city, with the town hall and a beautiful fountain. In March 1945, a bombing destroyed almost all of the city's buildings. Only the town hall, the fountain and the Tempelhaus (Temple House) survived.
