Wellington Arch, also known as Constitution Arch or Green Park Arch - a triumphal arch in central London (England), located south of Hyde Park and at the northwest end of Green Park. It was created on the initiative of King George IV in 1825 and, together with Marble Arch, was to commemorate the victories of British troops in the Napoleonic wars. The Wellington Arch was also intended to be the gateway to Constitution Hill and thus the official gateway to central London from the west.
