Hackberry wood, due to its properties such as its elasticity in green and hardness when dry, is possibly the best for making some of our items such as: walking sticks, clubs, cudgels, crooks, hiking sticks, staves and pitchforks. There should be no people left who make this craft, entirely by hand.
