The prototype for the canvas depicting Our Lady and Child, from the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries, unknown by the author, was a wonderful painting from Marijampolė, dated at the end of the 16th century. It was initially owned by Stanisław Jan Jabłonowski (1634-1702), castellan of Krakow and the Grand Hetman of the Crown, who took him with him on military expeditions, which is why he was referred to as the Hetman, Knight or Victorious Mother of God.
