Portrait of Rozalia Matylda Glaser, formerly also Portrait of Countess Thun - an oil painting by Polish painter Artur Grottger from 1864, located in the Gallery of Polish Art 1800-1945 in the Silesian Museum in Katowice. Grafini Rosalie Mathilde Folliot de Crenneville-Poutet née von Glaser (1860-1931) was an Austrian noblewoman, daughter of Wilhelm Edler von Glaser [1]. She was born and lived in Vienna. The painting was made in 1864. Thus, he most likely presents Rosalie at the age of 4 [2]. It was purchased for the Silesian Museum at the Pollak und Winternitz antique shop in Vienna in 1928. The work, made in oil on canvas, measures 118 x 99.5 cm. The portrait is signed in the lower left corner: Arthur Grottger 1864. Museum catalog number: MSK / SzM / 526 [2]. In 1972, the Polish Post issued a stamp with a face value of PLN 3.40 with a reproduction of the Portrait of Rosalia Matylda Glaser in the Polish Painting - Stamp Day 1972 series. The circulation was 3,087,000 copies. The author of the stamp design was Tadeusz Michaluk. The stamp was withdrawn from circulation in 1994 [3].
