Heinrich Bürkel (born May 29, 1802 in Pirmasens, died June 10, 1869 in Munich) - German painter in the Biedermeier style. From 1822 he lived in Munich, where he studied at the Münchner Kunstverein. From 1823 on, he traveled to Rome several times, he also traveled to Tyrol and Bavaria. He was an honorary member of the Academy of Dresden, Vienna and Munich. His friends were the writer Adalbert Stifter and the painter Carl Spitzweg.
