Three wise monkeys (Japanese 三 猿 sanzaru, san'en, or 三 匹 の 猿 sanbiki no saru, literally three monkeys) - Japanese proverb expressed by means of a sculpture or painting "I see nothing bad, hear nothing bad, say nothing bad ". The three monkeys are: Mizaru (見 猿), which covers the eyes, so he sees nothing wrong, Kikazaru (聞 か 猿), which covers the ears, so he hears nothing bad, and Iwazaru (言 わ 猿), which covers his mouth, which says nothing evil, which can be interpreted as: "Do not seek or point out the wrong actions and words of other people."
