Fiofío whistle (Elaenia albiceps) Little bird of about 13cm, with white semi-cappet, except in juveniles that lack it. Its beak is short and thin. It emits a sound similar to a whistle, hence its name. Confident and passive behavior. Solitary, although sometimes it can be seen in small groups. It is shown in visible places and even on the forest floor or the steppe, feeding on insects or fruits. In our park we can enjoy its presence from September to April, since it is a migratory bird and passes in winter in warmer latitudes.
