Avignon - observation bridge online puzzle
The bridge in Avignon (Pont Saint-Benezet, Bridge of Saint Benedict of Avignon) is actually only a fragment of the bridge. Built between 1171 and 1185, it once connected both banks of the Rhône, but was ultimately destroyed during a flood in the 17th century. Of the 900-meter-long building, only 4 spans (out of 22) and the chapel of St. have survived to this day. Nicholas. The rest was destroyed by the waters of the Rhône. The bridge, although currently only used as a scenic promenade, is probably the most famous bridge in the world. Photo MemoryCatcher
