Szczecinek (German Neustettin) - a city in north-western Poland, in Western Pomerania, the seat of the authorities of the Szczecin poviat, municipal and rural commune of Szczecinek. The seat of the Regional Directorate of State Forests is located in Szczecinek, which covers 30 forest districts from the former Koszalin and Słupsk provinces. A city on the border of the Drawskie Lakeland and the Szczecinek Lakeland, located between three lakes: Trzesiecko, Wielimie and Wilczkowo. Established in 1310 by prince Warcisław IV, it immediately received city rights.
